Catastrophic After Effects of Human Indolence : Global Warming
Global warming, otherwise very simply termed as climate change, is the general heating up of the whole atmospheric level of the planet. In a nutshell, it is caused by the augmentation of greenhouse gases resulting from human interference. The gases involved are carbon dioxide and methane, which have dramatically risen in the atmosphere because of them. Global warming causes effects that are both widespread, destructive, and devastating on environmental aspects aside from human health, the economy, and society.
Causes of Global Warming
One would rather say that global warming has been caused by man and his activities, some of which include:
1. Fossil Fuel Burning :
In this fossil fuels that include coal, oil, and gas burn in such huge quantities and emit vast amounts of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere in which it traps all that heat contributing to the overall rise of global temperatures.
2. Deforestation :
The agricultural, urbanization, etc. increases the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which thus reduces the forest’s capability as a carbon sink.
